The Pediatric Advanced Life Support course is designed for healthcare providers who either lead or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients. The goal of the PALS Provider course is to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high-performance team dynamics and high-quality individual skills.
Course Provider Manuals
Per the American Heart Association, every student is required to have a manual for use before, during, and after the course. In an effort to help all students be successful in their course, West Volusia CPR provides links directing students to the American Heart Association’s website to purchase access to the electronic library to view the course specific Provider Manual.
