First Aid/CPR/AED

The First Aid/CPR/AED course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Students receive a course completion card that is valid for 2 years.

 

BLS for Healthcare Providers

The BLS for Healthcare Providers course is a video-based, instructor led course that trains participants to save lives of victims in cardiac arrest through high quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation and early implementation of an automated external defibrillator in both in and out of hospital settings.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support course is designed for healthcare providers who either lead or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. The goal of the ACLS Provider course is to improve outcomes for adult patients in cardiac arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies through early recognition and interventions by high-performance teams.

Course Provider Manuals

Per the American Heart Association, every student is required to have a manual for use before, during, and after the course. In an effort to help all students be successful in their course, West Volusia CPR provides manuals for students to borrow during training as a part of the course fee. If students wish to purchase a provider manual, they are provided the opportunity during registration as well as with links in the confirmation email that is delivered upon registration.
