Out of respect for all students attending the course, any student(s) who arrive more than 10 minutes late to class will be considered to be a “No Show” and will not be permitted to attend class. “No Shows” forfeit the entire course fee.

Open Resource/Provider Manual

As of 2/16/2016, AHA adopted an “open resource” policy for the written exams. Open resource means that students may use the course specific eBook or printed Provider Manual, notes, the ECC Handbook, the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC, and any posters that may be present in class. Open resource does not include open discussion among clients during the written exam portion. It is also the position of American Heart Association that every student possess their own copy (eBook or paperback) of the course material for use before, during, and after the course. AHA clearly identifies that any student who is does not present a course specific provider manual is not permitted to attend the training and receive a certification card.
